| | The RS10-D10 Caterpillar based ROC-SAW Trencher equipped to trench one meter in width for cross-country pipelines in rock and other difficult materials. The conveyor system can shift from side to side and will discharge on either side of the trench. The conveyor is 36” wide with dual hydraulic motors mounted internally in the head pulleys. Conveyor belt speed Is infinitely variable from 0 to 900 feet per minute. An automatic crowding system when trenching insures maximum production. The electronic guidance system keeps the machine on the trench line. |
| | This powerful trencher (1,200 horsepower and 100 ton weight) virtually walks through rock and hard materials where the only other alternative is blasted excavation. It is proven, reliable, and cost effective. It is the product of years in research and development in rock trenching technology. The new Caterpillar Hi-Trac model RS10-D10 now replaces the old style standard track machines. |
| | The Model RS10-D10 Caterpillar based ROC-SAW Trencher cutting cross-country for a 30-inch pipeline. At water crossing, trench depth was 2.5 meters. Trench depth cross-country was 2 meters. Forward progress in these hard rock areas averaged 500 meters per shift. In other areas where the rock was not so consistent or massive, the average production exceeded one kilometer per shift. In order to stay ahead of the pipe crews on this project, the contractor worked the ROC-SAW Trencher two shifts per day. |
| | The Model RS10-D10 ROC-SAW Trencher cuts through boulders and solid rock for this pipeline project in West Texas. The conveyor had to be shifted from side to side because the R.O.W. Restrictions. The Big Trencher cuts through the rock without hesitation. Normal soils, Frozen ground, and Caliche rock can be trenched at high speeds. Three kilometers per day are common for these materials at 5-foot depths. |
